Kabbalat Shabbat Liberation Experience

It's a Passover edition of our Kabbalat Shabbat Experience! This week, we'll be changing up the format for chag a bit: think niggunim, poetry from Song of Songs, and a blissed-out kirtan ma'ariv. Come experience freedom from words ... So excited for this! 

  • Families will gather at 5:45 p.m. for kids' kiddish and potluck dinner. Please RSVP to
  • Prayer services will start at 6:30. 
  • Afterwards, all are invited to stay for a festive vegetarian potluck meal.  

As always, this will be a prayer service for all levels of experience, and there will be space and activities for kids.

Potluck details: Please bring a Kosher for Passover (i.e., no chametz) vegetarian dish to share with six to eight people, with a label describing the dish's ingredients. Please also clearly label if your dish contains kitniyot (other grains and seeds, like rice, beans, corn, sesame), out of consideration for those whose practice is to not eat kitniyotThe space is nut-free. If you bring cheese, please make sure it uses vegetarian rennet. We'll provide challah and kiddush wine/juice. Feel free to bring additional beverages.

Location details: The Kesher Nevatim space is right on the Cambridge/Somerville line, less than a 15-minute walk from Porter Sq. and about 25 minutes from Harvard Sq. There's also plenty of parking. (The best approach is through Bleachery Court. Drive to the back right corner of the parking lot.) Look for the "Kesher" sign above the white door.

Carpool: If you're driving or need a ride, please use this helpful tool to help people out and minimize emissions. 

Accessibility info: The Kesher space is ADA accessible, with elevator and an accessible bathroom. There are also gender-neutral bathrooms in the space.
