Join us for a musical, soulful, chant-based prayer gathering, followed by a festive vegetarian potluck meal with after-meal blessings and song. As always, this will be a prayer service for all levels of experience, and there will be space and activities for kids.
We rely on volunteers to make our services happen—from setup to cleanup, and some good stuff in between. Whether you’re a regular at our services or a newbie who wants to fast-track getting to know people, go to our sign-up sheet and select a volunteer role. Thank you!!
Please bring a veggie dish to share with six to eight people, with a label describing the dish's ingredients. The space is nut-free. If you bring cheese, please make sure it uses vegetarian rennet. We'll provide challah and kiddush wine/juice. Feel free to bring additional beverages.
There will be a table for hechshered kosher food, so if you're bringing prepared food, please consider buying kosher products. If you are able, please also bring any necessary serving utensils.
The Kesher Center is right on the Cambridge/Somerville line, less than a 15-minute walk from Porter Square and about 25 minutes from Harvard Square. There's also plenty of parking. (The best approach is through Bleachery Court.) Go to the back right corner of the parking lot and look for the "Kesher" sign above the white door.
The Kesher Center is ADA accessible, with elevator and an accessible bathroom. There are also gender-neutral bathrooms in the space.
If you're driving or need a ride, please use this helpful tool to help people out and minimize emissions.
