This Erev (first night of) Rosh Hashana, get ready to connect with the energy of new beginnings in a musical, soulful, chant-based service with the Asiyah community. Whether you've never been to a Rosh Hashana service or you've been doing it all your life, there's something here for you—please join us! Optional home-hosted dinners to follow.
Erev Rosh Hashana Experience starts promptly at 6 p.m. Come as you are or come festive! We’ll have apples and honey and be on our way to dinner by 8 p.m.
We believe that communal spiritual uplift should be available to all, so we ask that you make a sliding-scale ticket donation ($8-$360) that matches your conscience and pocketbook! There is no charge for Asiyah co-creators (members), although you are welcome to make a donation.
Childcare is available for kids ages 3 and up. Please select a free child's ticket when registering so we can be sure to have enough help.
The Kesher Center is ADA accessible, with elevator and an accessible bathroom. There are also gender-neutral bathrooms in the space.
The Kesher Center is right on the Cambridge/Somerville line, less than a 15-minute walk from Porter Square and about 25 minutes from Harvard Square. There's also plenty of parking. (The best approach is through Bleachery Court.) Go to the back right corner of the parking lot and look for the "Kesher" sign above the white door.
After last year's success, we're happy to be pairing folks for hosted Rosh Hashana dinner following the service. If you'd like to be paired with a dinner host, or be a host yourself, please select a ticket with dinner option, and $10 will go to your hosts' meal preparation costs. Dinner pairing will close a week before to give hosts a chance to prepare.
Hosting: If you have space for at least four guests, let us know and still sign up and pay the $10. You will be refunded once we've made the final matching.
We look forward to seeing you!
